Job Summary
Interview patients, measure vital signs including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and record information on charts. Perform technical skills such as EKGs, injections, venipuncture, and common lab tests per CLIA guidelines. Skillfully obtain tests and specimens while maintaining confidentiality and notifying team members of abnormal results or emergent situations. Prepare treatment rooms, maintain exam room cleanliness, and dispose of contaminated supplies per infection control guidelines. Document patient care accurately and function with minimal supervision to promote efficiency. Must be willing to travel to other TriHealth Endocrinology sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to travel to other TriHealth Endocrinology sites as needed
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), through AMT, NCCT, or NHA
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Current, active RN or LPN licensure, or Respiratory Therapists or Technician credential, is also acceptable
- EKG
- Injections
- Venipuncture
- Performance of common lab tests according to established CLIA guidelines and TriHealth policy
- 1-2 years experience in a physician office or related setting
