Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed at Montclair Breast Center to support patient intake, vital signs, EMR management, and coordination of patient flow across a multi-provider practice. Responsibilities include greeting patients, obtaining/updating medical histories, recording vital signs, maintaining medical supplies, preparing exam rooms, scanning and routing documents, managing genetic counseling/testing logs and Cancer IQ results, assisting with front desk tasks, scheduling, and potential inter-office travel. Requires High School Diploma with MA certification/registration (or completion of an accredited MA/nursing program) and 3+ years of MA experience; bilingual Spanish preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records and strong multitasking in a busy clinical environment is needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with Medical Assistant certification/registration a plus
- Completion of formal training program from an accredited program in medical assistant or nursing program
- 3+ years working as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of computers and electronic medical records
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow with strong multitasking and problem solving skills
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred but not required
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy and discipline
