Medical Assistant (Mon - Thurs)

Provide essential support to healthcare professionals by conducting patient intake, managing vitals, and documenting illness history, chief complaints, and lab results. Perform basic nursing care including blood draws and injections under direct supervision, while maintaining accurate patient records and processing billing for Managed Care, Medicare, and Medi-Cal. Assist with patient flow by greeting visitors, checking appointments, and answering the telephone, alongside preparing examination rooms and organizing supplies. Participate in cross-training for front office duties, assist with immunization inventory, and process electronic lab orders per clinic policy. Work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at Via Care Community Health Center. A Medical Assistant training certificate and CCMA certification are preferred, with a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
