Job Summary
Medical Assistant-Mobile 3 - Hero performs both administrative and clinical duties under supervision, including scheduling, maintaining medical records, taking vital signs, collecting patient histories with social determinants of health, preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, administering medications per physician direction, coordinating care transitions, ordering and processing POCT, EKGs, and health screenings, and handling office operations and OSHA/biohazard procedures. Position may require emergency duties such as assisting with shelters or disaster response in Palm Beach County.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification or completion of medical assistant program (as applicable by employer)
- Clinical and administrative duties under supervision
- Vital signs and basic patient preparation
- Medication administration as directed by physician (in scope)
- Handling of medical records and scheduling
- CPR/First Aid or as required by employer
