Job Summary
Welcome patients in person or by phone, verify and record medical history, and prepare individuals for appointments by directing them to exam rooms. Assist providers during examinations, prepare laboratory specimens, and maintain sterile instruments while documenting examinations and test results. Educate patients on medications, ensure equipment functions properly, and uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule varies by physician needs, with options including Monday through Saturday shifts ranging from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Hourly rate is $23. Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification is required, with Epic EMR experience preferred. This role supports ENT, Allergy, and Audiology specialists at one of the nation's largest networks.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA
- Bachelor's degree in Biology
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience
- Ability to work Monday: 8:00am-5:00pm
- Ability to work Tuesday: 7:45am-4:30pm
- Ability to work Wednesday: 7:45am-4:30pm
- Ability to work Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pm
- Ability to work Friday: 7:30am-3:00pm
- Ability to work Saturday (1-2 per month): 8:00 - 12:00PM
- Ability to work Monday: 8:00am-5:30pm
- Ability to work Tuesday: 7:45am-4:15pm
- Ability to work Wednesday: 7:45am-4:15pm
- Ability to work Thursday: 7:45am-4:15pm
- Ability to work Friday: 7:30am-3:00pm
