Job Summary

Initiate patient chart retrieval, vital signs collection, and Point of Care Testing including glucose, UA, and flu screening. Direct patients from waiting areas to examination rooms, coordinate referrals, and complete PHQ9 and GDS screenings. Document clinical activities accurately, perform phlebotomy and injections, and ensure equipment safety and sterilization. Provide patient education on medications and procedures while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality. Work with diverse populations including pediatric, geriatric, and prenatal patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to speak English fluently
  • Must be able to perform heavy lifting, generally more than 25 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • One year as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Completion of Medical Assisting Coursework which may not have led to certification
  • Participation in an interdisciplinary team
  • Prior recent experience in a healthcare setting (within past five (5) years)
  • Spanish speaking or another language is a plus
