Job Summary
Perform all aspects of the Medical Assistant I role, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, under the delegation of a licensed practitioner. Provide patient care to assigned patients while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations for the clinic or location of work. Maintain competency in clinical needs and functions for the assigned site. This role requires six months of healthcare experience and six months of specific medical assistant experience. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
