Job Summary
Triage patients according to Local MD Urgent Care Clinical policy, including taking vitals, updating demographic or insurance information, and providing written documentation to enable clear communication with Providers. Perform clinic procedures as directed by Providers, accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record, and administer medications. Obtain and process blood and other lab samples, call patients with lab results, and accompany patients to triage or exam rooms for assistance with transfers and specimen collection. Clean and disinfect exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and back-office areas between visits to maintain infection control, while managing inventory and restocking supplies. Assist front office registration by collecting insurance and payment information, relay instructions to patients and families, and ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory agency requirements. Maintain licensure and participate in required staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant (MA) licensed in the state of Indiana
- college education as per licensing requirements
- high school diploma, or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a MA in an outpatient medical clinic, medical office, or hospital setting

- Ability to operate office and medical equipment standard in a clinical medical environment
