Job Summary
Medical Assistant – full-time, day shift at McRae Women's Facility in McRae-Helena, GA. Responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab tests, assisting the Physician with minor procedures, recording EKGs, maintaining/cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs. Requires certification/licensure as a Medical Assistant in Georgia, CPR, and Phlebotomy certification. Prior corrections experience preferred. Shift: Days, 7:00am–3:30pm, five days per week with some weekends. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, holidays, FSA, and CE benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Current Georgia Medical Assistant license/certification
- Current CPR
- Phlebotomy Certification Required
- Corrections experience preferred, not required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
