Job Summary
Medical Assistant in the Patient Access Department provides hands-on clinical support in a fast-paced inpatient setting. Responsibilities include supporting patient intake/admissions and clinical workflows, taking and documenting vital signs and observations, assisting with medication processes under nursing supervision, supporting urine drug screens and documenting results, ensuring patient safety procedures, maintaining accurate documentation in the EHR, and supporting inventory and supplies. The role emphasizes collaboration with providers, nurses, and clinical teams to uphold safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Requires a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a BLS certification and proficiency with EHR and HIPAA practices; bilingual applicants receive a 5% pay differential subject to verification.
Required Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a BLS certification
