Job Summary
Provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services under the supervision of a licensed physician and nurse in the Clinic setting. Perform routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health. Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and hold a recognized Medical Assistant certification such as CMA, CCMA, or NCMA, or be eligible to sit for the exam within 30 days of hire. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion preferred. Bilingual Spanish capability and medical terminology knowledge are preferred. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a medical assistant training program
- Currently certified as a Medical Assistant by a recognized certifying organization or eligible to sit for exam within 30 days of hire
- Acceptable certifications are CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMT, AAMA ABROE
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
