Job Summary
Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice and follow treatment plans directed by the Clinical Coordinator, CRNP, and Physicians. Extract data from medical records, transcribe orders, resheet charts, and schedule tests or procedures. Register patients, bill for services, and restock pharmacy and unit supplies. Communicate new orders, changes in patient condition, and unit concerns with the team while maintaining responsibility for safe, appropriate, patient care. Participate in QA/QI activities and demonstrate competency in growth and development knowledge. Assist in training new staff and provide coverage as needed at other Community Health sites. This role involves travel to any Maternal Fetal Medicine location as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GE
- Graduate of an accredited MA program
- Experience with medical terminology
- Prior experience working in a medical office
- Ability to sit up to 2 hours per day
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day
- Ability to walk 6 hours per day
- Ability to consistently lift, carry and push objects up to 10 lbs
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry and push objects up to 75 lbs
- Ability to transport patients weighing up to 250 lbs via wheelchair, bed and/or stretcher
- Ability to frequently stoop and bend
- Ability to frequently reach above shoulder level
- Ability to perceive attributes of an object through touch
- Ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation, and high and low frequencies
- Ability to see as relates to general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision
- Must be able to travel to any Maternal Fetal Medicine location as needed
