Job Summary
Coordinate patient flow for ultrasound, NST, genetics, APPs, and diabetes education while assisting physicians with procedures and rooming patients. Manage in-basket tasks, prep charts, stock rooms, and track weekly blood sugar logs for high-risk pregnancies. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. as part of a growing Maternal Fetal Medicine team expanding a Fetal Care Center and Fetal Surgery program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice
- 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Completion of AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 Days
- One of the following certifications: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
- Completion of one of the following certifications within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
- Compliance with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
