Job Summary
Medical Assistant supports patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a medical provider. Responsibilities include assisting with non-invasive procedures, preparing and cleaning exam rooms, conducting patient intake (including reporting test results and phone triage), maintaining daily logs and documentation, pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, verifying insurance eligibility, managing clinic communications, ensuring inventory of supplies, educating patients on medications and health topics, and upholding confidentiality and efficient clinic operations.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
