Job Summary
Medical Assistant supports patient care in a Palmer, AK internal medicine clinic by performing clinical and administrative tasks under supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with non-invasive procedures, taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, patient intake, reviewing logs, scheduling and coordinating referrals, verifying insurance eligibility, handling communications, maintaining inventory, educating patients on medications and health topics, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Requires completion of a Medical Assistant program (preferred) and 0-1 years’ experience; BCLS required; not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
- Licenses and Certifications: BCLS - Basic Life Support required
