Job Summary
Escort patients to exam rooms, ensure thorough cleaning and stocking, and gather updated health information from patients to inform the provider. Take vitals, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, and assist with procedures under provider direction. Manage front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record abstraction, check-in/check-out, and coordinate specialist referrals. Process test results and provide timely updates to patients via e-message, mail, or phone. Maintain clinical supplies and equipment while partnering with the care team to develop individual patient plans of care. Requires minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience, MA certification preferred, and CPR/BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
- National or state-specific MA certification or registration
- CPR/BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred
- Phlebotomy experience
- Experience in Primary Care
