MEDICAL ASSISTANT (MA) - VHC - Full Time

Medical Assistant (MA) – full-time position in a clinic supporting physicians and physician assistants with patient examinations, vital signs, and chart updates. Responsibilities include calling patients to rooms, recording measurements (weight, height, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration), verifying patient demographics and insurance, reviewing medical records, documenting symptoms and histories, assisting with examinations, preparing procedures and supplies, administering therapeutic injections (including 1 mL and subcutaneous injections) and allergy injections, performing tests (ear irrigation, wound dressings, eye tests, UAs, strep tests, etc.), handling phone calls and pharmacy communications, processing referrals and insurance pre-authorizations, maintaining exam rooms and inventory, coordinating with the Clinic Manager on supplies, collaborating with pharmaceutical reps, providing patient education on follow-up care, assisting with OB checks and well-baby immunizations, and supporting the Vaccine for Children program, along with other duties as assigned.
