Job Summary
Conduct preliminary evaluations to triage patients and determine the urgency of their medical needs. Perform basic clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, phlebotomy, and assisting with minor medical procedures. Administer medications under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers, adhering to state regulations. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records while maintaining confidentiality. Engage with patients to address inquiries, explain dosage instructions, and provide guidance on lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with the clinical team to relay patient updates and assist with discharge plans. Work 12-hour shifts in consecutive or non-consecutive days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to rotate between multiple ConvenientMD locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant certification with at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive and or non-consecutive days
- Must be able to work three (3) 12-hour shifts a week with at least four (4) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday
- Must be able to work two (2) 12-hour shifts per week with at least two (2) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday
- Must be able to work four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, ideally working one (1) shift each week
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays
- Must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other ConvenientMD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from your primary clinic
- Must be able to travel for training shifts which may occur outside of your primary clinic within a one (1) hour commute

- Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, experience with or ability to learn Experity as well as other business systems
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department
