Job Summary
Medical Assistant role at ConvenientMD (Urgent Care) focusing on patient care and clinical support. Responsibilities include patient interaction, explaining medications and treatment plans, triage and basic clinical procedures (vital signs, history taking, phlebotomy, assisting with minor procedures), accurate EHR/documentation, medication administration under supervision (NH & ME only), collaboration with the clinical team, discharge planning support, and training new team members. Requires high school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant certification with 1 year (or 2 years MA experience), and BLS certification. Availability includes 12-hour shifts with options for full-time, part-time, or per diem, plus travel between ConvenientMD locations within a 1-hour radius, and potential shifts outside primary clinic for training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certification with at least one year of experience or two years of experience as Medical Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
