Job Summary

Conduct preliminary evaluations to triage patients and determine the urgency of their medical needs, while performing basic clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and phlebotomy. Administer prescription medications under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers, ensuring accurate preparation and adherence to state regulations. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records and collaborate with the clinical team to relay updates and assist with discharge plans. Engage with patients to explain dosage instructions, address treatment concerns, and offer guidance on lifestyle modifications and preventive care. Work flexible 12-hour shifts across multiple ConvenientMD locations within a one-hour travel distance, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant certification with at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive and or non-consecutive days
  • Must be able to work three (3) 12-hour shifts a week with at least four (4) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday
  • Must be able to work two (2) 12-hour shifts per week with at least two (2) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday
  • Must be able to work four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, ideally working one (1) shift each week
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays
  • Must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other ConvenientMD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from your primary clinic
  • Must be able to travel for training shifts which may occur outside of your primary clinic within a one (1) hour commute
  • Compassionate, authentic, and patient focused

  • Trustworthy: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations

  • Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, experience with or ability to learn Experity as well as other business systems
  • Medication Administration (prescription meds – NH & ME only)

Desired Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department
