Job Summary
Medical Assistant role at ConvenientMD Urgent Care in New England. You will engage with patients, explain medications and dosage, support clinical operations, perform vital signs and phlebotomy, assist with minor procedures, document in EHRs, administer prescribed medications under supervision, and collaborate with the clinical team on discharge planning and patient care. Requires 12-hour shift availability (full-time, part-time, or per diem structures described), Medical Assistant certification with 1+ year of experience or 2+ years of MA experience, and BLS certification. Strong emphasis on compassionate patient interaction, safety, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork; familiarity with or ability to learn Experity and Microsoft Office is desired.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant certification with at least 1 year of experience or 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Ability to travel between ConvenientMD locations within 1 hour travel distance and willingness to travel for training shifts within 1 hour
- Proactive communication and teamwork skills
- HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software, ability to learn Experity
