Job Summary
Medical Assistant (MA) for Primary Care OB in Vernon Hills. Primary duties include greeting patients and escorting to exam rooms, documenting vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit, providing front office support, performing basic vitals, and assisting with phlebotomy and injections as needed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification; 1 year of healthcare/medical office experience; on-the-job training available for those without formal MA training. Travel to other sites may be required; position is full-time or part-time with typical 7am–6:30pm hours and rotating Saturday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred but not required
- One year of work experience required
- Experience in a medical office or related field preferred
