Job Summary
Assist nursing staff with day-to-day office activities while maintaining the highest degree of quality care in accordance with Federal, State, and Local standards. Perform patient handling tasks including assisting, transferring, repositioning, and turning patients; lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Conduct procedures such as IV insertion, wound care, and medication preparation while using basic computer knowledge and preferred EHR system skills. This role requires full shift work with physical demands including frequent standing, walking, and bending. Candidates must hold current Ohio MA or LPN licensure and BCLS certification. Urbana Clinic seeks a certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and English communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Current State of Ohio MA or Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure
- Current BCLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer knowledge
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- MA Certification, education, or previous clinical experience as an MA in a clinical setting
- Ability to work full shifts
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks during peak activity or emergencies
- Willingness to work overtime
- Availability for on-call duties
