Job Summary
Assist patients and youth with activities of daily living and provide nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Perform and document rounds for patients receiving medical or psychiatric care, obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing and preparing documentation for transfers or specialty appointments. Complete all required care documentation, provide written or oral reports, and record entries in log books while cleaning, maintaining, and checking equipment. Check inventory, order, and verify supplies. Must hold state certification from AAMA, AMT, AMCA, CCBMA, or MMCI, along with BLS certification and one or more years of MA experience. Weekly pay and eligibility for state benefits are available.
Required Qualifications
- State certification by one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants (CCBMA), or Multiskilled Medical Certification Institute (MMCI)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- One or more years of MA experience
