Job Summary
Assist patients with exam preparation and procedures, including rooming, vital signs monitoring, and blood draws. Support physicians and physician assistants during examinations while maintaining accurate medical records and completing referral forms. Prepare examination rooms to ensure a safe, clean environment adhering to infection control policies. Utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for patient encounter completion and documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. Provide compassionate, inclusive care to patients of all backgrounds while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Maintenance of confidential information
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and patient care
- Dedication to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer proficiency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- This is a per diem first shift position
