Job Summary
Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, and document all information in patient charts. Interview patients, provide clear directions, and assist providers during examinations while performing nursing procedures under supervision. Collect laboratory specimens, prepare and administer medications, and perform basic lab tests such as EKGs and fingersticks. Ensure accurate charting, complete revenue cycle forms, and maintain adequate supplies and equipment logs. Clean and disinfect exam rooms, report equipment malfunctions, and triage patient calls. Complete referral processes, outpatient scheduling, and precertification. Maintain OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- 1 year MA, CNA, PCA, STNA, or SEH Clinical Care Tech experience
- Completion of MA Program including hands-on MA externship
- Completion of SEP Internship
- Completion of EMT certification
- Degree in Health or Biological Sciences inclusive of hands-on clinical patient care activities such as Athletic Trainer
Desired Qualifications
- An approved credential, such as the CCMA, CMA, RMA, ARMA or EMT D
