Job Summary
Medical Assistant (MA) – Infusion at Advocate Infusion Center, Libertyville IL. Supports clinical providers for direct patient care, assists with treatments, exams, and procedures, prepares examination areas, documents chief complaints and vital signs, assists with discharge and patient orientation, and performs phlebotomy and lab processing. Maintains patient charts and documentation, ensures quality control logs, and supports safety initiatives. Requires High School Diploma, Med Asst Cert/Reg, certification, CPR, and CDL or willingness to be trained; 2-3 years ambulatory/medical office experience. Full-time, 40 hours/week with benefits; pay range $22.90–$34.35/hour with $2500 sign-on for external hires.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Graduate of accredited Med Asst Cert/Reg program
- Successful completion of Med Asst Cert/Reg certification exam
- 2-3 years’ experience in ambulatory/medical office
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Ability to use computer for printing results and access patient information
- Clinically appropriate skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a caring manner
- Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Med Asst Cert/Recertifications
- Current CPR certification
- Current CDL License or willing to be trained
