Job Summary
The Medical Assistant II (MA II) supports licensed practitioners by performing delegated clinical duties to aid in patient care within a primary care clinic. The role encompasses responsibilities comparable to the MA I level and requires competence in clinical tasks, adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and timely completion of duties under supervision. The position is Full-Time with on-call, Day shift, Located in Federal Way, WA, within PacMed Clinics DBA Pacific Medical Centers. The role emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care and collaboration within a team to deliver extraordinary care, with responsibilities aligned to clinical support, vital signs, injections, and medication administration as part of routine medical assisting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces (if applicable)
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
- Preferred Qualifications: National Medical Assistant Certification
