Job Summary
Medical Assistant II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care in a primary care clinic/location. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role, is fully competent in clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic, and operates in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Location is Renton, WA. This role supports clinical tasks such as vital signs, injections, medication administration, and other healthcare duties as defined by the clinic and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Coursework/Training Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months Healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
