Job Summary
Medical Assistant/MA-C - Pediatric role performing clinical duties under the supervision of a licensed practitioner to support patient care. The MA II is fully competent in the clinical needs for the assigned clinic/location, operates under established policies and procedures, and works as part of the Swedish Medical Group in partnership with Providence teams. Requirements include completion of an accredited medical assistant program or MA apprenticeship, or equivalent clinical training, plus Washington Medical Assistant Certification on hire and BLS certification within 30 days. At least 6 months of healthcare experience and 6 months specifically as a medical assistant (including vital signs, injections, and medication administration) are required. Preferred qualification includes National Medical Assistant Certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants OR graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces OR minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- 6 months healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
