Medical Assistant (MA)- Ambulatory

Coordinate patient care under direct supervision by performing vital signs, phlebotomy, and electrocardiograms while documenting findings in the medical record. Collect specimens using infection control protocols, perform daily equipment calibration, and assist physicians with special procedures like lumbar punctures and pelvic exams. Maintain examination room cleanliness, stock supplies, and manage clerical functions including filing records and processing insurance forms. Ensure efficient patient flow through the suite and complete required logs for equipment and medications.
