Job Summary
Assist and deliver patient care duties under provider supervision, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording chart information, and preparing treatment rooms. Perform examination and treatment support while executing miscellaneous delegated tasks to enhance efficiency and continuity of care. This role requires current Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse certification/licensure, with specific restrictions on medication administration and Epic orders until credentials are verified. One-year clinical experience and electronic medical records proficiency are preferred. Kettering Health, a not-for-profit system serving southwest Ohio, prioritizes patient safety and integrated healthcare delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT) or completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program or MA program through an accredited institution of higher learning and successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
- Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license
- STNAs or CNAs with at least 6 months of direct patient care experience
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting preferred
- Experience with use of electronic medical records preferred
