Job Summary
Medical Assistant or LPN sought for Orthopedics at Kettering Health. Under the supervision of the provider and/or practice manager, assists and delivers patient care duties, and provides administrative support throughout the practice. This role assists the provider in examination and treatment of patients, performs miscellaneous delegated duties, interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination and will be cross-trained to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of patient care. MA/CMA certification or KHMG/ACCEPTED program with certification within 15 months; LPN must have Ohio license. EMR experience and 1-year clinical office experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- MA/CMA: Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT) or completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program or MA program through an accredited institution of higher learning and successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
- LPN: Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting preferred
- Experience with use of electronic medical records preferred
