Job Summary
Assist RNs, physicians, and providers in the ambulatory care setting by performing procedures such as drug tests, alcohol tests, audiograms, spirometry, vision testing, and EKGs. Room patients from newborns to the elderly, conduct quality checks on equipment, fill out paperwork, schedule appointments, and answer phone calls. Maintain competency through required certifications, including current LPN licensure or Medical Assistant certification with completion within one year, and obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within three months. Work day shifts from 7:30am to 4:30pm with no weekends or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in appropriate state, i.e. Minnesota, Wisconsin, OR current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.
- Must pass certification within two attempts
