Job Summary
Responsible for assisting the physician in providing direct patient care and health teaching for patients. This role emphasizes quality care through excellent customer service and collaboration within a team environment. Duties include clerical and patient-related support such as record keeping, scheduling, verification of patient demographics, and patient preparation for exams. Candidates should have exceptional communication, computer, and decision-making skills, and should ideally have experience in phlebotomy and OB/GYN settings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum One (1) year experience in direct patient care
- Registered by the Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Personnel or other governing body
- BLS certification
- Exceptional communication skills
- Computer skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Independent decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in phlebotomy
- Laboratory testing/specimen preparation
- OB/GYN experience
