Job Summary
Provide quality care to patients under the direction of licensed practitioners while assisting in daily clinical operations and promoting efficient clinic function. Deliver nursing care and identified clinical support tasks within the Licensed Practical Nurse scope of practice in conjunction with registered nurses and medical staff. Maintain professional customer service standards for all patients and staff interactions. Work part-time, 0.5 FTE, Monday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm. Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- BLS certification must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program
- Current Medication Aid Registry listing or completed within first 30 days of hire (if administering medications)
- Graduate from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility
- Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- BLS certification must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a physician's office
- Experience in a related area
- Ability to be bilingual in English and Spanish for working in certain clinics
- Medical assistant certification
- Medical Scribe experience
- Experience in a physician's office
- Experience in setting related to clinic setting
- Proficiency in secondary language
- Participate in performance improvement activities
