Job Summary
Coordinate primary health care services for a large outpatient client population under physician direction. Assist in patient care delivery, establish relationships with patients and families, and manage neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric cases. Maintain active CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or EMT certification and pass the Goshen Health standardized Spanish Competency Evaluation. Hold current CPR certification and maintain all credentials in good status. Requires bilingual Spanish proficiency and completion of accredited medical assisting or nursing education.
Required Qualifications
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
- Must pass the Goshen Health standardized Spanish Competency Evaluation
- Graduate of an accredited career/vocational school with a medical assisting (MA) degree, certificate or diploma or completion of basic or advanced EMT or Paramedic course
- Hold active CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification or pass exam given by any credentialing agency for medical assistants to be considered a credentialed medical assistant
- Hold an active EMT or Paramedic Certification
- Must maintain license, certification and or credentials in good status to perform required job duties
- American Heart Association CPR certification
- Current license as licensed practical nurse (LPN) issued by the Indiana Health Professions Bureau
Desired Qualifications
- One or more years experience in a physician office setting
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Current license as licensed practical nurse (LPN) issued by the Indiana Health Professions Bureau
