Job Summary
Medical Assistant in a primary care setting supporting a physician to deliver patient care and a positive guest experience. Responsibilities include taking vitals, performing blood draws and injections, bandaging wounds, assisting with procedures, administering approved medications and immunizations, front desk duties (scheduling, records requests, referrals), coordinating care outside the clinic, documenting in medical records, processing test results, and contributing to outreach to engage eligible patient groups. Works with the care team to develop patient plans and address gaps in care, while maintaining supplies and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
- National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred
- MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required
- CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
- Phlebotomy experience is preferred
