Job Summary
Conduct clinical care under the direction of an LPN, RN, or provider by assisting with administrative, clinical, and clerical duties. Prepare patients and equipment for exams or procedures, maintain exam rooms, and collect medical history and medication refills per protocol. Perform lab specimen collection, schedule referrals, greet patients, and process co-payments while adhering to EMR workflows. Identify patient risks and communicate them to licensed staff. Requires a Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant with BLS certification and strong computer skills. Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p variable hours at Mount Bethel Plaza.
Required Qualifications
- Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant
- Ability to accept and adapt to constant change within a healthcare setting
- Ability to take initiative and function independently as well as collaboratively
- Excellent computer skills including EMR, word processing, and Excel
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days

- Associate's Degree from a Medical Assistant Program
- CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - NHA - State of Pennsylvania
- CMA - Certified Medical Assistant - AAMA - State of Pennsylvania
- CMAC - Clinical Medical Assistant Certification - AMCA - State of Pennsylvania
- MAC - Medical Assistant Certified - AMCA - State of Pennsylvania
- NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant - NCTT - State of Pennsylvania
- NRCMA - National Registered Certified Medical Assistant - NAHP - State of Pennsylvania
- RMA - Registered Medical Assistant AMT - State of Pennsylvania
