Job Summary
Assist physicians with patient care by preparing patients for office visits and procedures. Perform patient care activities including vaccine and medication administration, phlebotomy, and point of care testing. Provide indirect care via phone or EHR to address patient questions, process medication refills, and schedule follow-up appointments. Utilize the electronic health record for efficient documentation. Requires MA certification, BLS, and one year of clinic back office experience. Salary is $23.93-$33.50/hr.
Required Qualifications
- MA certification required within one year, from either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)
- MA certification requirement may be met instead by current Oregon Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license and national EMT registration (NREMT). Oregon only
- Washington State certification as a MA or Interim MA required for all who work or float in Washington
- Current BLS for Providers from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience as a clinic back office medical assistant preferred
