Job Summary
Provide patient care in accordance with Northside Hospital's philosophy and policies within the medical office setting. Work under the guidance of physicians and advanced practitioners, with specific duties determined by supervising physicians, Clinical Leadership, and Scope of Practice after competency is established. Maintain current BLS certification and complete state-required x-ray safety training within 90 days of employment if applicable. Schedule runs from 7:15am to 3:45pm. This role supports Northside Hospital's mission to expand care quality and reach for patients and communities in Atlanta.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Medical Assistant program
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical practice
- Expertise in ambulatory/physician office practice flow and activities; specialty specific disease processes and conditions; in-office procedures, and patient education
- Current BLS card (CPR)
- Prior completion of state required x-ray safety course or begin course within 30 days of employment and complete no later than 90 days, if performed at medical office location
Desired Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
- Associate Degree (two-year college or technical school)
- Proficient in EMR
- Two (2) to four (4) years equivalent experience
