Job Summary
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant provides care to patients/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, follows established standards and practices, coordinates with care team to ensure seamless care delivery and active patient participation in planning and care, and assists physicians or other providers with clinical procedures. The role involves working in a medical office/clinic environment with typical physical demands (lifting up to 100 pounds, standing/sitting for long periods) and requires vaccination status. Two-day vision screening event in Knoxville, TN with paid training. Pay up to $27/hour. Requires HS diploma/equivalent, at least 1 year of clinical experience or MA program graduate, and current/certification eligibility including CPR/BLS.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office / clinic or hospital setting, or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Record of prior stable employment and / or favorable references.
- Current CPR / BLS certification.
- Current certification as a medical assistant or eligible for certification.
- Must obtain certification through the CMM M.A exam course if not yet certified at time of employment.
