Job Summary
Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and sterile fields for fluoroscopy-guided pain management procedures while assisting physicians with patient positioning and maintaining aseptic technique. Obtain vital signs, perform medication reconciliation, and document clinical findings in the electronic medical record. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting adverse reactions or changes in condition. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize reusable instruments according to facility policies, operating sterilization equipment and maintaining required documentation. Manage inventory of medical supplies and medications, rotating stock using first-expire-first-out practices and notifying management of low stock. Complete daily logs for clinical, equipment, cleaning, and safety activities, ensuring all quality-control processes are finished before the end of each workday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certification program
- Prior experience in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of clinical procedures
- Knowledge of EHR systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a professional demeanor
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
