Medical Assistant- Internal Medicine

Assist physicians, PAs, and NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and procedures by preparing examination rooms, escorting patients, and maintaining efficient visit schedules. Obtain vital signs, document allergies and medication lists in the EHR, and reconcile encounters daily. Answer telephone inquiries, direct calls, and schedule appointments accurately within the Practice Management System. Administer medications and dispose of medical waste while adhering to universal safety precautions. Provide scribing services and facilitate transitions of care to UCC or hospital settings. Perform duties as assigned and troubleshoot department-specific equipment malfunctions.
