Job Summary
Medical Assistant in an ambulatory Internal Medicine clinic providing patient care under the direction of the clinician, assisting the provider to gather information relevant to visits, and communicating with patients via telephone and in-person interactions. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver compassionate patient care, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through. Schedule details: 36 hours/week, full-time; clinic hours Monday–Friday 7:30am–5:00pm, four 9-hour shifts, no weekends, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active and in-good-standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in Utah
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers (must be obtained prior to start date)
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers
- Utah MA certification preferred: RMA (AMT), NCMA, CCMA, CMA (AAMA)
