Job Summary
Medical Assistant in Internal Medicine to assist providers in delivering quality patient care. Primary duties include greeting and rooming patients, taking history and vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting with exams/surgical procedures and diagnostic testing, maintaining sterile environments per Washington transmission precautions, and administering injections per provider orders. Must utilize EMR efficiently and communicate clearly in writing and speech. Requires WA State Medical Assistant Certification and current national certification (AAMA/AMT/NHA/NCCT/AMCA) plus BLS and basic medical terminology proficiency. Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent or applicable coursework to be applied to obtain required WA State Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current national certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
- Proficient with medical terminology
