Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant in Internal Medicine at Hillcrest Hospital, you will assist with screenings, gather and update patient information, collect specimens, perform tests, document patient care, and support administrative duties such as scheduling and registration in an ambulatory setting under physician or nurse supervision. The role emphasizes patient care, care coordination, maintaining exam rooms and equipment, and adherence to BLS requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved medical assisting program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)
- Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
