Job Summary
Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering medical terminology, anatomy, clinical procedures, and office administration. Provide theoretical and practical instruction while demonstrating proper techniques, safety practices, and ethical standards. Supervise students during laboratory work, simulations, and clinical practice, offering hands-on guidance and constructive feedback on assessments. Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that addresses individual student needs and fosters engagement. Collaborate on curriculum development and program enhancements while maintaining a safe classroom and laboratory setting. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in medical assisting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a practicing medical assistant
- Strong knowledge of medical assisting principles, practices, and industry standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for educating and mentoring aspiring medical assistants
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in instructional technology and incorporating multimedia resources into teaching
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software
- Computer skills
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment that respects diversity and promotes student success
- Day and Evening Positions, including a partial work-from-home/remote schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials
