Job Summary
Medical Assistant role in an ambulatory clinic supporting clinicians with patient information gathering and care coordination. Responsibilities include assisting providers to collect relevant visit data, communicating with patients via telephone and in-person, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality patient care. Requires MA program completion or MA experience or RN/LPN Utah license, BLS certification, and strong interpersonal/communication skills. Competitive hourly range and 24 hrs/week schedule in Cedar City, UT.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Utah
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers
