Job Summary
Conduct daily diagnostic imaging coverage including EKGs, non-stress tests, spirometry, venipuncture, and urine tests. Perform vital signs, wound care, injections, and minor procedures under physician supervision. Assist patients with history forms, triage, and exam preparation while documenting complaints and phone calls in the EMH. Manage medical supply inventory, sterilize equipment, and ensure physician signatures on charts and prescriptions. Maintain patient flow, perform pharmacy follow-ups, and notify patients of physician orders. Comply with OSHA Standards and HIPAA regulations. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certificate issued by an accredited institution approved by the State of Florida
- One year experience working in a health care setting that included direct patient contact
- Basic medical terminology
- Basic arithmetic
- Satisfactory vein puncture techniques
- Safe work practices in a clinic setting
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (verified via E-Verify and Form I-9)
